Rules:
Scoring
This event will be using a modified version of the Max/Max2/Extreme
internal scoring system, which is a technically sound and fair way of
determining which player scored better. The scoring is as follows:
*Perfects = +2 Points
*Greats = +1 Point
*Goods = 0 Points
*Boos = -2 Points
*Misses = -4 Points
*Freezes: OK = +3 Points, NG = 0 points
After each round, the scored will be calculated, determining who
actually performed better.
Seeding:
During the seeding portion, players will select from a list of TWO
different seeding songs. The seeding songs will be 7 feet in difficulty.
There will be two songs chosen for seeding out of the following list of
the following songs, and as such will each have their seperate machine
day-of.
(TBA)
The participant will choose one song to play. Songs with freeze arrows
will have the freeze arrows turned off. Songs can be played at any speed
scrolling modifier, but may not be played with any other modifier i.e.
Flat, Shuffle, Dark, Reverse, etc. Failing a seeding song will result in
the lowest possible seeding rank. From the seeding, the top 32
participants (scored on percentage) will move on to the eliminations
portion of the event.
Eliminations:
Once the 32 participants have been selected, the eliminations begin.
Players paired together will choose an index card with 5 songs listed on
the other side. The card will include all pertinent information (foot
rating, etc.). From the list of songs, the lower seeded player will
choose a song to eliminate from the card. The higher seed will follow by
eliminating a song. From the remaining three songs, the high seed will
choose the song he/she wishes to play first. The low seed will choose
the second song to play. The song not chosen will be used if a
tiebreaker situation should occur.
The songs will then be played in the order they were chosen in. Scroll
modifiers will be the only options allowed unless otherwise specified on
your index card. The scoring is the best 2 out of 3 songs. If players
score equal on all three songs, a tiebreaker song will be played until a
winner is determined. Failing a song is considered a loss, and the win
for that particular song will be awarded to your opponent. The winner of
a particular set will move on, while the loser will be moved to the
loser’s bracket, or eliminated if necessary. This format will continue
until winners have been decided.
Modifiers that you can expect to see on a card:
- Left
- Right
- Mirror
- Shuffle (since both players get the same shuffle)
--------------------------
**Event 2: S4R (Sudden Shuffle) Tournament:**
- Price: $3.00
- Registration: 10:00am until the end of the tech portion.
- Start: Estimated from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Tech may run a little late or
end a little early, so make sure to stick around.
- 16 entrants maximum.
- Event will be SINGLE ELIMINATION
- Will be held on two DDR Extreme Machines
- Prize Distribution: The S4R entry fees and half of tech's entry fees
will go towards cash prizes.

Second place: 30% of total prize money.
Third place: 15% of total prize money.
Certain songs for S4R, due to the background videos, will be unused.
They give a disadvantage to one (or both) players, so they will NOT be
included AT ALL. The list of these songs are:
